Our March Barkbox Delivery!

Two months ago we got a chance to check out the home-delivery service Barkbox, and were so enamored that we signed up for a six month subscription! We recently received our March delivery and wanted to share with you what we got!

Included in our box were:
  •  Ginger Snap Treats from Bing's Barkin' Bakery
  • Himalayan Dog Chews (made from an ancient cheese recipe, they're long-lasting chews for your dog!)
  • petprojekt Holobal
  • Nature's Miracle Bath Wipes
The big wins? By far the Ginger Snap Treats and the Himalayan Dog Chews! While we're already fans of the Nature's Miracle Dog Wipes, we definitely can use an extra container. Sadly, the Holobal was no match for our little monster-- it lasted for about 20 minutes before it was in pieces. At least it was enjoyed!

So far, this is definitely worth the $17 a month-- we can't wait to see what's in store for April! Want to sign up for your own Barkbox delivery? Head over to their site to check out the subscription plans!

Royal Canin X-SMALL Dog Food & Spa Day Giveaway!

When it comes to kibble, paws down, Paddy is a Royal Canin gal. We've tried different brands over the years, but we always come back to Royal Canin's Yorkie mix. Not only does it keep Paddy's coat looking super shiny, but her teeth look great and this is the only formula she seems to have any interest in eating. (Funny story, we tried switching brands by mixing a new kibble into her Royal Canin-- she picked it out and left it on the floor... for a week... so special.)

Thus, our ears definitely perked up when we heard that Royal Canin is introducing a new X-Small nutrition line for dogs under 8lbs. After hearing what huge fans we are, they kindly sent us a bag to check out-- and so far, Paddy is a huge fan! While she loves her Yorkie mix, the size of the X-Small pieces is definitely better for her, and we like that it's formulated with a dog of her weight in mind. We tried out the Adult version, but it also comes in Puppy, Mature Adult and Aging. Also, love that there is an extra emphasis on digestive health. Paddy can have a sensitive tummy, so the extra digestible proteins and fiber level will hopefully help!

So, two very important things. First, to celebrate, we've got one extra Royal Canin Spa Day Package to give to a lucky Barkzilla reader! That's right-- this package contains $80 worth of goodies to pamper your pooch including our favorite Natural Dog Grooming Wipes and some handy micro-fiber towels. Here's how to enter:

Paddington's Pick: Sherpa GoDog Baby Dragon

It's spring, which means puppies, puppies, PUPPIES! Our favorite puppy present? Sherpa GoDog's Baby Dragons! Crinkly and not stuffed with too much fluff, these little guys are built to last, but are soft and cuddly for nap-time snuggling. Relatively light weight, they're perfect for games of fetch and totting around the house. Seriously, just ask Paddy's cousin Domino who has the Triceratops version (and yes, seriously Paddy and Domino = cousins).

We've seen them in a lot of stores/online, but they're currently on sale over at Petco (20%!!!), so head over there to pick yours up!

Sprinkles Dog Cupcakes Review!

This weekend we swung by Sprinkles in NYC to pick up something tasty and stumbled upon something special for our CCO (aka Chief Canine Officer). Yup, that's right-- a special little cupcake for our pup, because as the stickers at Sprinkles say, "Dogs Love Cupcakes Too!"

Crafted from fido-friendly ingredients, these bite sized treats are sugar free and feature a yummy coat of yogurt frosting. Soft and squishy, these treats look, smell and feel like the real Sprinkles cupcake deal. As you can see, we had no issues getting Paddy interested in this one:

Available at Sprinkles locations for $2.50 each.
